If you're searching for a charming cafe that embodies the essence of wholesome eating, look no further than The Green Kitchen in Acton Bridge, Northwich. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Cheshire, this delightful family-run establishment is operated by two sisters who pour their heart and soul into creating a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.

The Green Kitchen specializes in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, delivering not only healthy options but also a menu that boasts fresh, vibrant flavors. Your culinary journey here begins with their enticing wraps—consider the homemade falafel wrap, bursting with flavor and paired with zesty dressing, or the robust Mexican bean wrap. If you prefer a touch of indulgence, the cheddar and chutney wrap is a comforting classic that leaves you craving more. There’s truly something to satisfy every palate.

For those looking to enjoy a taste of artisanal bread, the selection of sourdough options will leave you captivated. The Brie & Cranberry sourdough is particularly divine, its rich tang perfectly complemented by the sweetness of the cranberry. If you fancy something a bit lighter, the Avocado & Tomato sourdough is a refreshing treat, ideal for a midday pick-me-up.

The menu isn't just limited to wraps and sourdough; the cafe also features a selection of light bites that tantalize the senses. The creamy bagel with cream cheese paired with grilled baby tomatoes is a delightful option, while cheese on toast is a comforting choice that never disappoints. Don't miss out on the lovely toasted teacake, perfect for pairing with a perfectly brewed coffee for that perfect afternoon break.

But The Green Kitchen offers more than just food; it provides an experience that resonates with its patrons. Customers rave about the cafe's friendly and welcoming staff who create an atmosphere that's both relaxed and uplifting. Keith Bailey describes it as a “lovely little cafe” where cleanliness and service shine. Other customers, like Sophie Gregory, have continuously enjoyed delicious meals, proclaiming, “everything is so fresh and tasty,” making The Green Kitchen a solid recommendation for anyone—vegetarian or not.

While the cafe is praised for its inviting space, there’s also room for improvement, as noted by some vegan patrons who found options somewhat limited. However, the heartwarming reviews reflect a community where thoughtful feedback is taken to heart, promising a commitment to growing and offering new choices.

With seating both indoors and outside, you can savor your meal while soaking up the charm of the surrounding countryside. And if you're driving through Northwich, The Green Kitchen is easily accessible from the A49, making it a convenient stop on your travels.

Whether you’re stopping in for a coffee and a slice of their renowned vegan chocolate cake or enjoying a light lunch with friends, The Green Kitchen invites you to indulge in a space where good food reigns supreme, and every visit feels personal. Don’t miss the chance to discover this hidden gem!

Cute little place,we are vegan but the options we had weren’t that great or value for money. Bean wrap bit tasteless and contained just that and lettuce which wasn’t a great combination. The falafel wrap was alright but again just that and a bit of dressing! The cakes all looked lovely but no vegan option that we could see. I’m sure if you’re vegetarian the food is probably great but for us it was basic. The staff were great, very friendly, would go again but just for drinks not food unfortunatly.

This is a great vegetarian & vegan cafe - set in a picturesque part of Cheshire. A family run cafe (set up by 2 sisters) with super tasty & healthy food. We had the vegan bean wrap, the falafel wrap fresh fruit smoothie, vegan chocolate cake & alternative milk vegan cappuccino. Bright & light cafe with a relaxed atmosphere & seating indoors & out. Friendly staff ... the proprietors are clearly doing their bit for the environment, including locally sourced foods & recyclable materials.

Driving back from Northwich I stopped by at this amazing little place. Tucked away just off the A49. Just looking to buy a quick coffee, this was a lovely place to stop by with a decent sized car park space. The interior was pleasantly designed, a great place to sit and enjoy some moments. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and cheerful. As I didn't sit in I didn't get a chance to view the menu. However there was a lovely tempting range of cakes I could see on the counter . If your driving by definitively pop in.
